I re-read the info previously posted. I am in the trucking business and any shipper that I have dealt with will send out a replacement product right away. They don't wait for the trucking company to have their check clear. The shipper knows the trucking company will send a check. If they don't the trucking company will lose their business and the shipper will simply hold back the amounts from their billing if it takes too long. Besides most if not all trucking companies have a $1000 deductible on cargo insurance. Con-Way probably paid this out of pocket and didn't even file a claim with their insurance company.
I also want to say that Steve had bent over backwards for me too. I didn't buy my machine from him but he has ordered me parts and is presently separating a CV drive shaft that I mailed to him just the other day.
