One regular Crazy Frehse classroom activity used a grammar workbook developed at Manter Hall School in Cambridge. “Manter Hall Day” was like a perverted TV game show, and could have been invented by Monty Hall. Or Monty Python. One third of the class was seated in chairs spread across the front of the room, with titles like Number Boy, Card Girl, Question Girl, and Third Assistant Alternate Score Keeper; and they administered the quiz to the rest of the class. Frehse was emcee, seated in the middle of the stage. She’d shout “Number Boy!,” “Card Girl!,” and so on; and if any Vanna White prototype missed a cue, she lost the job and joined the less-lucky classmates who had to answer the questions. Here's a song some of wrote around 1962, based on the lyrics to the "Mickey Mouse Club March." What's the cause of all the hell That Frehse causes us? Hi Michael Thank you for this forum. I enjoyed reading the memories of Hillhouse and Sheriden. "Crazy" Freshe also loved Elvis. My sister had a picture of Pat Boone in her notebook, and Miss Freshe saw it and gave her "double F's" But then she showed her the next page with a picture of Elvis, and she gave her "double A's". Too funny. She also read a book each day to us. Can't remember the name of it but it was about a young indian girl. Freshe would get so excited about the book, she would say, "I would walk barefoot over broken glass" to read this book!!! And you were right - Mr. Dolan was a real ass! Linda

Hi Linda. Welcome back to Sherman Parkway. >>"I would walk barefoot over broken glass"<< Frehse certainly had a strange foot fetish. She used to talk about "crawling on bloody stumps."
