Thank you for this forum. I enjoyed reading the memories of Hillhouse and Sheriden.
"Crazy" Freshe also loved Elvis. My sister had a picture of Pat Boone in her notebook, and Miss Freshe saw it and gave her "double F's" But then she showed her the next page with a picture of Elvis, and she gave her "double A's". Too funny.
She also read a book each day to us. Can't remember the name of it but it was about a young indian girl. Freshe would get so excited about the book, she would say, "I would walk barefoot over broken glass" to read this book!!!
And you were right - Mr. Dolan was a real ass!
