Red limbs hauled the bulk of the copper stag through the war worn lands, his pace an arrogant waltz of a movement. His senses extended hungrily from him, smelling, looking, hearing for an opponent to take on. Whiskered lips peeled across his tarnished teeth in an elated snarl, rib cage heaving as Voraer's lungs expelled a challenging bugle. Sharply Voraer turned and headed towards the gypsy he caught sight of, his feet tearing vigorously into the supple land.

Like a freight train the stallion met his latest victim, sliding up beside her with a heavy trot. Before the mare could make any first moves Voraer set to work, shrugging ahead of the painted lady with a burst of speed that sent his hooves slamming harder into the soil. Voraer had to do this quickly, before Geisha had time to read his attack and move away. But Voraer would have to slow, even for one stride, to lessen the strain of the ground on his limbs. Irritated Voraer snapped at the air as he pulled back his pace roughly before leaning onto his forehand and unleashing the duel punch of his hind end. His aim was to strike the towering mare’s left flank region, though it was possible he might land lower on the back left leg if Voraer failed to judge the height correctly. The flank was meaty, but it was a larger target and would be affected by a double barrel kick. It was higher than the legs, but not as easy to get out of the way, and with Voraer’s dilemma at having to slow and move ahead it was more likely Geisha would be able to get out of the way. Aiming anywhere at Geisha’s front region was out of the question, to move that far ahead of the opponent would be too easy to read, Geisha would have just stopped and laughed as the kick whooshed through air.
Whether the strike ran true or not didn’t register with the quickly working stallion. As his back end landed and his balance swung back to full tilt, Voraer rocked onto his haunches, pushing off with his left fore into a roll-back to his right which surged into a rear. Lunging forward Voraer hurled his bulk towards the Vanner mare, curled forelimbs extending with a raking motion towards her left flank once more; the attack propelled by the momentum and Voraer’s weight. If he struck the flank, it would hopefully be a double hit, doing even more damage to a region already injured. And unlike a buck, the end of his rear would continue to slam down, hooves scraping down Geisha’s leg as gravity would demand Voraer back to his four limbs. With the buck, a maneuver that required going out and then curling back in, the shot was more solid and specific. With the pouncing rear, all motion was aimed forward and down, extending the attack’s range and devastation.
Stomping back to the earth, the shock of impact spiraled up his forelimbs. Voraer held his head high in case any limbs or teeth should come flying at him it would be easy to swing his crania away. Voraer moved to turn, in a less-tight manner, to his left and swing into a trot, hoping to get out of range from the painted warrior.
