OOC| Okay, here's some advice, critiquing ya ^^ When fighting, you have to take into consideration how much damage Viruk's taken. He cannot receive damage and then forget about it, unfortunately, because, realistically, if he had run as heavily as he did upon the leg I had bludgeoned, he would have fallen. Possibly sprained his fetlock from the force. Just for future reference, always remember to include how you dealt with the damage, how you managed to attack and act resourcefully without causing further damage to your injuries.
As for his timing, it was a bit off. A horse can gallop up to 23mph, yes, but if Viruk wants to land a hit with a good aim, he can't go rocketing forwards and hope to rear to the side. See, realistically, once again, had Viruk been running at such a speed (even if it was only a lope) turning so swiftly to the side and rearing would have made him lose his footing. Losing his footing (which is about 90% positive to happen) would end up with Viruk falling on his side- which, in a real horse fight, is sudden death. Horses in real life do their best to remain standing, for as soon as they fall, the other will smash their head in. Doesn't happen here, but its still the same for realism.
The psot length could be longer, but then again, that's not always important- what's important is description. You could use a bit more descriptive words to tell me exactly where you are hitting (the flank is a large area. It ranges from the stifle (the ribcage, right in front of the hind leg) to the hock and butt (hock is the hind leg's knee). Of course, it would be wise to use this page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Horseanatomy.png ) to learn more about the bones and names and stuff.
But other than those things, I love your character's spirit, and it's good to have unique attacks. Keep in mind, when you attack and defend, you want to inflict as much damage to your opponent, yes, but as little to yourself as possible. My first attack you could have dodged; keep it in mind, if you had done what you did here in the Blitzkrieg, the judge would have given you 0 out of 15 for lack of defending. And headbutting me is giving you as much damage, if not more, as my own, for its your head. Lol. Still, it takes practise, and you're doing excellent. This'll be the last post, and if you want we can do another Basic, or we can move on to Advanced.
My caramel dun flank quivered slightly as I had an itch; boredly I turned my head and nipped at it absently, obviously not quite worried about the other stallion. As I resumed my watching of the white horse with my half-face, honeyed brown eyes ever observant, I noticed his approach. A beligerent, but smug look made itself known upon my features as he came, and I watched with a pleasant smile. Daring him. It took me no time to realize Viruk's point of attack when he broke to my left and turned slightly; I simply pushed hard onto my hind legs, propelling me away in time to completely evade his attack. (In Krieg battles, you are not allowed to completely evade others' attacks, but because your attack was implausible because it was too fast and too unrealistic, I can, and I will teach you further in that later.) My caramel dun form skidded as I slowed my escape, turning to watch Viruk casually before I thundered out in my tenors, "Think before you attack! Aim for vital body parts- lower legs are flimsy and are easiest to maim. Injure a horse's leg and they cannot run, fight, nor defend." I hadn't barely spoken before the white stalion barrelled towards me.
I shook my head in exasperation, rolling my honeyed eyes as he came, and because he was a whole hand shorter than me, his poll (the top of the head, right between the ears) came only to my cheek, and mid-muzzle. Therefore, his head butt head the potential to crack my muzzle should I refuse to move, but I was diligent with my training and decided not to let him get an easy hit. As he rushed, about five paces away, I tossed my head to the right and pivoted on my hind legs to the right (twisted to the right on-spot). His head met the left of my chest, just in front of my upper forearm, and I felt the breath rush out of me. It was a heavy hit, but it no doubt would have either broken his neck or injured something in his back had I not moved. The injury I'd obtained was a severely sore shoulder and moderate bruising upon my chest, but I managed a straight face and looked towars him. "You're not a girl when you fight, that's obvious. But be careful. That attack is about as Kamikaze as they get- suicidal." Snorting, I wondered whether Viruk would want to carry on, or if he would like Advanced. Perhaps, if he was brave, he would even go to Blitzkrieg and Challenge someone? Who knows.
