They had come. They had fought. And as law had written it in stone, Ahriman had conquered - and now, was the time for him to keep his word and hold true the secret tongue of warriors; honor. Waiting for Armand to wonder within the schooling yard, he dipped his cranium slightly as his new student approached him, a quiet sign of respect and a battle well fought.
"Feerstly let me congratulate you Armand, you fought vell", there was no lie beneath his voice, although it was clear and obvious that there was room for improvement, and improvement there would be. "But let us get down to buseeness. Zee judges, zey leeke to see 'onesty een one's battle, attention to detaeel and careful thought to your attacks. Per'aps one meestake you made vas to confuse the 'ock and knee, be careful of that", for the knee and hock were vitally different joints, and pin-pointed where attacks and defenses would lie - the hock, was located in the hind legs, the major joint between the hindquarter and fetlock, whilst the knee, although in the same position on the leg as the hind leg, was of course, on the front leg. And both joints, moved differently to one another; the knee bent forward, and the hock allowed for the same motion, but to bend backwards. Understanding the basic fragments and movements of the equine body was vital and something which would make or break a warrior. "I vant you to study Armand, study the baseec anatomy: This link should help you, keep it handy with you when writing your posts".
It was clear to see Armand put careful thought into his movements, and it was these movements which needed the most fine-tunning. "Your opening attack vas okay, but you could 'ave chosen much more tender area's to bite at, such as the flank instead of zee back", looking towards Armand's flank, it was a painful lesson which had being dealt to the young warrior on his first fight in Blitzkreig - the back, especially when the muscles were tense beneath the skin, was an area would only result in flesh-deep bruising, or at the most, shallow muscle bruising from the teeth pounding at the skin. A few scrapes were sure to surface as Ahriman had suffered, but they meant nothing in the long run, and barely caused him enough pain to render the muscles useless in battle. The flank however, as an example, was delicate and soft, the skin was soft and easier to grasp ahold of and cause far more damage - walking up to the chestnut stallion, Ahriman brushed his shoulder past Armand, left shoulder to left shoulder, much like the opening of their battle - although this time, he gently raised his head and opened his lips to gently clasp his teeth over Armand's withers. He meant no harm, and the action had being slow and deliberate to prove a point and show him alternative area's he could have attacked on. Parting his lips once more, he loosened his soft grip on Armand's wither's to allow himself to speak.
"Even the weether's vould 'ave served you much better. Biting down hard on such an area vould cause great pain, peencheeng down on the muscles either seede and the nerves vheech lay there", this would cause great discomfort to lower the neck and stretch the muscles over the wither, a movement which was needed when striking out with the hind legs to counter-balance the weight of the body. Even to grab infront of the withers was another vital place where the blunt incisors of the equine teeth could pinch the nerves in the neck and cause the same discomfort in similar movements. Moving down the line of the body, Ahriman nudged Armand in the flank as a bitter reminder of another place he could have used his teeth, much like he had done in their battle - the success there was obvious. "Also remember to take eento conseederation the veather (found at the top of the Battles - always use the "current" weather as your guide) - for us, eet vas snoweeng and 'ard to see more than a few feet een front of us. The snow vas also theeck and deep, and many sleepery spots to content veeth, being bold verses being smart vas not the breeghtest of moves for you", he was of course, speaking about Armand lunging forward and driving all of his weight towards Ahriman's shoulder - with ice laying below the snow he could have very easily slipped, injuring his own muscles and leaving himself open for extremely cruel attacks. To take notice of the elements surrounding them was step one, to open with a good, feesable attack which would land enough damage to hinder the movements of your opponent was step two, then, because the battle was in motion, step three of unleashing your most powerful attack was vital.
"Your second attack vas very good, eet was aimed at the 'ock vheech ees a good area, and I mucho leeke the fact you continued the movement and used your second attack vheele you vere so close", the stygian beast could not fault the chestnut for his second movement and attack, there was no mucking around, no bolting away, breaking the distance and then having the need and unwanted wasted time of closing it back up again - it was a vital piece of knowledge that Armand had shown well. However, even though both attacks had being used in quick succession, Ahriman wanted to see more, more description, more finasse involved. Moving away from the chestnut, Ahriman moved back around to face him face to face once again, eyeing his new found student and nodding softly. "So then, veeth all that een mind, I vant you to try again - sometheeng deeferent though, keepeeng een mind ve are surrounded by snow 'alf vay to our knees, veesabeelity ees poor and there ees eece (ice) beneath the snow", alas, the teacher stood and waited for his student to begin once again, to see what other attacks he could come up with and use, while keeping in mind the horrific conditions they had just battled in, and seeing if he would use the chart of anatomy to improve his attacks and descriptive ability.
