It was quiet a couple of slippery spots as he stepped down the school grounds. Head were taken in a proud position while the chill of the weather were stuck onto his hide. Drops from morning mist were draped in his fur while his visibility was hard to notice, if it had not been for his ebonite mane and tail. His ocean blue voids were captured as he watched his trainer, Ulaume waiting for his attack. The snow tucked in his shoed hooves with would soon grow too small and annoy him to bits. A sudden ice break made his proud position fail as his shoes were not made for this kind of ground. He could easily slip and fall if it had not been for these two legged who shooed his elegant blades. Ears flicked before tongue licked his lips and he found a safe spot to stand. He had been through a couple of battles before; he knew some tactics but did not want to become an easy reader. The stallion knew the heights were quiet alike and therefore would not be any advantages but he knew never to underestimate the challenger or defender depending which side you preferred to look at.
With each step he took her form were getting more and more visible. This was that kind of mistakes he had to look for. The fog would make his eyes have hard time placing a decent hit, the snow and slippery spots could decrease his speed as well which would make it harder for him to move. With ears flicking the stallion did not take his time while moving slowly. With soft peeks he circled her, made his rounds a smaller and larger while crushing the ground. It made his speed faster while gaining confidence in his own judgment. He eyed several positions on how to attack. This was one of the most important things he had learned, eye any weak spots available and attack from there. While pacing up in a silent trot his move became silenced. His steps were smooth but his mind was still focused. Seeing her flank he could not see clearly the faults or even weak spots, the weather was giving him a hard time figuring it out clearly. He was a careful stallion until he could rest assure that his body was warmed up, his strength up high and after that, he had found his attack spot. With ears flicking slowly eyes were only balanced on the mare herself until it finally appeared. He did not give in because he did not need to, he had nothing to loose.
Many horses went to the legs, this was because the legs were a horses most vulnerable bones. He kept his distance until he found the way and opening he truly wanted. Skipping the beats of several traitors the stallion did not shiver, eyes met with a seconds glance to his position. Fading within the distance he appeared. Ears were flat until body stroked against Ulaume’s soft body, giving no thought the stallion made a full swing before taking a chance on her neck, but this was only a bluff, instead of biting rear hooves kicked out to connect with either her barrel or her legs. Ears flicked trying to capture the sound of anything getting hit or crack. Anything could happen as he halted making a turn favouring the spot he had taken in the safety spot only to wait for her words to appear. The training had begun.
