Thanks for the response. And not to start an argument and don't take it the wrong way, but I think a Frenchie, atleast the right frenchie can add alot more good quality traits to an olde program than alot of other breeds being used in oldes today. Alot of these breeds are only being used for the sole purpose of producing color if you think about it that's alot of breeds in the mix.. You are right, the ears would be a minor setback but nothing that can not be worked out, after all this is more of a foundation or tool than anything else. Size shouldn't be an issue at all in my opinion considering the female ab i used is 83 lbs and the male frenchie i used weighs 27 lbs..
If you think about it alot of oldes have blue pit and who knows what else somewhere infused in their line mainly for the blue color I would think.. The long pitbull muzzle would be very hard to get rid of, so I think the ears are not that big of a deal. I would rather have funky ears pop out every once in a while than a long snipey muzzle. Atleast the ears can be cropped..The muzzle you have to live with..I have had just about every bully breed, except for pits and in my expirience at least with the frenchies i own i am very pleased with their over all health.. They are much better breathers, no skin issues, no breathing issues, very nice structures, awesome stable temperaments and awesome movement, not to mention they make great family pets. I can only speak for my expirience with my frenchies. For me this is more of a longterm goal, nothing where i will be producing what i would call an olde anytime soon.
