I posted this in the EG forum earlier this week. |
Perhaps you will enjoy this Ghastly tale.
"Parnilla, are you sure this is such a great idea?"
Evangeline whispered in the light of the full Herb Moon.
Evangeline shivered as a draft blew through the room. For a fleeting moment she sensed an Omen from Beyond.
Evangeline was beginning to wonder why she let Parnilla talk her into something so foolish.
What if Parnilla's plan backfired?
The possibilities were endless.
"Hush, Evangeline," Parnilla whispered.
"I know what I'm doing. This plan is fool proof.
In any event, Evie, Mort loves his Jack Daniels.
I promise you, he'll have a smile on his face this evening."
Evangeline remained unsettled as she wandered the grounds of the Manor, killing time.
As she neared the bog, fog suddenly surrounded her and another chill wrapped itself around her neck.
Evangeline was nearly stifled by the thickness of the air.
Evangeline dropped her umbrella and ran back to the Manor.
Was she too late to stop the madness?
Too late, indeed.
The deed was done.
Parnilla wrapped her arms around Evangeline and led her out of the study.
"Don't worry, my dear, Mort didn't feel a thing."
As their skirts swished into the dark hall
they both missed Mort's hand moving
in the light of the healing Herb Moon.
Have a great Saturday!
I'm moving my wigs and props back into the doll room today,
who knows how long it will take to organize as I go.
