Ok - Here is a photo shoot from long ago. Victoria and Jewel are both owned by board angels now and they are still loved. (But I have come across at least 100 that I wish I could have kept). I will say - that if I had thought there was even a chance that Tonner would stop making these- I would have done this differently.
Here is Victoria and Jewel. They like each other a lot. LOL
Victoria was scalped and in a mess really - when I got her. She is one of my earliest repaints. I used her for sewing clothing and , really, she was my "working girl" so long. I always liked looking at her - with her scalped head and wobbly, stained body - and thinking about the little girl who loved her so much before I got her. She was always "much loved" in spite of her issues. Her dad was selling his daughters dolls to defray college expenses when I bought her. She has been painted about 7 times - as I used her for my "lab rat" to practice painting. When I first started sewing for the girls - I sent her in the outfits I made so the clothing would not wrinkle in transit. She traveled and came back home a couple of times to me. She was always so careful with the beautiful clothing she was traveling in. She never got to keep any of it. She is one sweet little thing. She is still much-loved.
Jewel by Wendy's daydreams was always a favorite for me. The girl just cant take a bad photo! She is much-loved to this day as well.
When I first started here - I had never taken a photo and put it into a computer. I used to think my photos were so bad when I started. I look at some of them now and think - HEY- some of these aren't so bad! LOL
They all bring back wonderful memories.
