After a few days of delays, the story is now resuming. Here we go ......
Ellowyne was putting the final touches on the Diner, in preparation for their Mardi Gras party. The decorations were in place and everything looked wonderful. Frank was off on a mission to pick up a couple surprises for the party. Ellowyne was hoping he returned soon, as she anticipated a very busy evening ahead.
Ellowyne had put away her signature pearls for the evening and was wearing silver Mardi Gras beads that caught the colors of her dress perfectly.
Gwen was finishing the pastry display when the first guests from the neighborhood started to arrive.
Three lovely fairies entered the Diner. Their wing sparkled in the lights, as they almost floated across the floor.
Two more young women entered the room. Ellowyne couldn't help marveling at how different her friends and customers looked. Frank had told everybody it was a "fancy clothes or costumes" party, but she never expected such finery.
Everybody was quietly mingling and enjoying the complementary pastries and desserts when the Diner door opened and an all-too-familiar voice called out, "Hey, Cuz ..... you didn't tell me you were having a party!"
