John: I am really surprised at the news from Hobby Boss. Does that or does it not include the previously announced New York? I would think that an enterprising designed could get at least 6 variations out of a Burke,. There certainly should be a market for seven of the Wasp's, eight if you make some minor modifications and do Makin Island.You could also go back into the land of our youth and get a Sara, Ranger, Kitty Hawk, JFK, and a whole lot more. Going for ward with a modified Nimitz hull yocould get Reagan and Bush., with JRF and the new JFK around the corner. Then there is the new America and her follow=ons. That is just the USN stuff. I sure you guys in the Mother Country could add a couple of billion in tonnage to that list
Jeff: I strained my old eyes and read your article. As I currently have a 1/800 Eisenhower on the bench which bridle arrestor were you speaking of. Nimitz as commissioned had three (two bow and one big one for cats 3 and 4, I have a good 1/1200 drawing of her) Photos of the Ike on shakedown show none. Hurry with your answer, the paints drying.
