Just to confuse; I've found a photo of HMS Eagle in East Indies - Warship Profile 35 page 256 - she looks to be white hulled and light grey above the flight deck. However the caption says "White and Buff colour scheme" The tripod mast is black, with what looks like white again for the Control Top.
