The blue-grey North Carolina that I have was bought in the 60s, so it's definitely Pyro and not Life-Like. It's much lighter than any of the blue Eagle models shown in Don Hood's book. Did Pyro have a 'Pacific War' range from which this and the Yamato come? Were there any other models?
