My Thanks to everyone who came to this event, and especially to stallholders who came a long way to support us. We were always going to be short on stallholders at this event - unfortunately another two dropped out at short notice due to ill health.
The naval wargame - Battle of the Denmark Strait was fought several times - it is interesting to relate that on several occasions Bismarck sank to the bottom of the ocean, both Hood & PoW being unscathed.
It is always pleasing to meet old friends at these events and the amount of knowledge, interest & enthusiasm never fails to amaze me. John Tremelling's display of Tremo models aroused much interest - hopefully in 2010 we may have a more intensive discussion on Tremo, and the links with other manufacturers.
Unfortunately attendance figures were not good, and don't justify the work that goes into the organisation of an event like this.
The 2010 Welton Mini-Ship Shows are as announced - March 28th and July 25th.
I will be 'standing' at Neil Kemplay's event in the Preston area on November 15th.
Everyone, naturally, was concerned to hear of Les Hodder's illness and join with me in wishing him a speedy recovery.
Tim H
