Just in time for Theale this weekend, an Albatros delivery has arrived at Antics. Aquitania has re-appeared and new for 2009 is Lamport & Holt's Voltaire in her 1932-39 cruise ship livery. The Alk models include AMC HMS Voltaire looking very smart in two-tone grey with her old house colours on the funnel. It seems very likely that she would have been in this livery when she had her unlucky encounter with the raider Thor and was sunk. Fresh supplies of the Type 45s, Diamond & Dragon (this last with the red Welsh dragon on the bows!) and the new fishery protection ship, Seeadler.
The new 2010 Catalogue is showing a feast of British Alk models. The previously announced Bulldog, Charles Darwin, Rothsay, Diligence and Echo are now to be accompanied by James Clark Ross, Fort Austin & Fort Rosalie, Scott and the mythical Queen Elizabeth (the last being subtitled "Aircraft Carrier - 2015). Let's hope that the model arrives first! Chinese Navy fans can look forward to Lanzhou, Huang Shan and Kulun Shan next year!
