Hi Ian. Coastlines offers a model of Columbus Bahnhof, CL-HM-A18, the German Ocean Liner Terminal at Bremerhaven. The quayside height and colouring approximates to the Triang quays. The railway station has several tracks within a 10" length and seven trains in and approaching the platforms (including rail tanks and parcel vans) on a clearly differentiated track bed. The track bed appears to have been formed from crinkly masking tape strips on the original master model. If you really want to represent the individual rails, you could draw them on painted masking tape strips with a brown "Stabilo" fine line felt tip pen (0.4mm is the smallest I have found in brown since Edding discontinued their sepia 0.1mm pen) but I don't bother on the Coastlines model, I simply use a dirty weathering wash over the tracks.
There is a picture on the www.shipmodels.co.uk website or you can see the model at Theale this Sunday!
