Hi all,
I am looking for plans or photos of the HM Armed Trawler Lancer II, 275 tons, built in 1914 by Smiths Dock Co of Hull, originally a steel fishing trawler, STUFT by Grey Funnel Line it was involved in a collision with HM Yacht Vagrant off the Brighton Light Vessel. Vagrant took Lancer in tow for Newhaven, but she sank soon after.
I dived the wreck many years ago and have been interested to find more about her ever since, I think it unlikely that there is a photo as I have been searching for years, all the likely places, but if any of the knowledgeable persons here know where else I might look I would be grateful. Failing that, any ships of her type and size would be a substitute as I wish to make a 1200 model of her for my modest collection. It is true to say that at such scale finite detail is not necessary.
Thanks,
John T
