I have a few boxed Tremo which came from a chap whose uncle was in the Navy and used to take him to the shop and buy him a Tremo each time he came home on leave! These ones had navigation lights painted, as well as bronze colour tips to barrels etc. so maybe it was something that they did with the early production and later they went a bit more 'utility'??
