The followup & feedback in 'other places' has been very good.
I've no intention of going on anymore about the event, but I would suggest that events like this do offer 'us' (the wider hobby) a chance to take the hobby to people who wouldn't normally see us. An event like this wouldn't support more than a couple of dealers but one dealer with models & books, and perhaps someone with some swaps, might do quite well. Certainly I spent a lot of time doing 'nautical research' enquiries - there's been an amount of tidying up to do after this and the response has been very good.
I'm away now to sample the joys of Whitby ... I heard a local auctioneer had a 'collection' for sale recently, and there might be some more ...
