I hope no one will object to me posting this report pretty much verbatim from my report elsewhere, but I'm feeling pretty tired.
Good Show
A fairly quick note to say 'Thanks' to everyone who came to Welton today - attendance figures were good - not as good as some years, but certainly nothing to be ashamed of, and business seemed to be brisk. Dealers were reporting 'steady' trade and one or two seemed to have lots of empty spaces in their trays at the end of the day.
As always at these events its good to see lots of old friends (although a number of our older regulars were not there) but there were a number of new faces who, I think, had a good welcome. It was also good to see Neville Khan with a stall and Will's presentation on RP would have been interesting - if I'd had the time to look at it.
I was able to spend a little time with the wargamers but didn't participate. I understand that a married couple did - the husband being somewhat peeved when his fleet was rapidly decimated.
A special Thanks to Martin, Neville & Will for their help in getting the tables away at the end of the day, and also to Dan Muir making the journey down from the NE, when its so close to his return to the US - safe journey, Dan. Also Thanks (as always) to Jackie for the 'canteen'.
This was the 18th 'Summer' Welton. For those who don't know the history - well it started as a summer adjunct to the Spring & Autumn Theale events and has, since 1996 (with two exceptions) been held on the last Sunday of July. I am pleased to confirm that the July 2010 Welton Mini-Ship Show will be held on 25th July. There are also events at Welton on 18th October '09 & 28th March '10.

PS I'm not really putting weight on, am I?
