Hi Jeff.
The white/black divide was done in my usual way with masking tape. Obviously, the whole ship was sprayed white first, using an aerosol. I always use a generic "appliance white" which seems a reasonable match for the Tri-ang colour. This needs to cure completely - I left it for a week. I find the cheapest, least tacky masking tape works the best. Wilkinsons own brand is fine. The " trick" is to use a very thin strip of tape (about 4mm wide) cut on a sheet of glass with a sharp blade. Then the tape will follow curves and can be pressed over anchors etc. The black paint is Revell Aquacolor acrylic semi-matt (sidenmatt) which dries quickly and doesn't have time to creep under the tape. To get the shine of the black to match the shine of the white, I wiped the hull with a tiny amount of Renapur using a cloth. I've read about the merits of Tamiya masking tape on various modelling forums but I don't know how good it is and I suspect it will be expensive. I'll stick to getting modelling materials from Wilkinson.
