I've been collecting these for years and, with a little filing and detailing, make into decent models. Painted correctly and placed towards the back of the pack (if you're displaying together with other ships) they look OK.
Yes, they are 'very' slightly overscale but it is acceptable. Check out the Skytrex/Triton sister ships Ark Royal and Eagle, there is nearly half an inch difference at the waterline but no-one complains there.
The Enterprise comes in two different kits, one with Beehive and the other as modernised. The Nimitz and Carl Vincent have the same flight deck but the sponsons have different weapon systems.
