Thanks Mike and Ken,
I know what you mean, this is part of a very very very big question in creative disciplines. But it's fun to think about.
Ken, you've pointed out exactly what I meant when I was talking about RP. "Replica" models seem to loose character, while "Interpretation/representation" models seem to posess more sould and character. I'm very wary of getting too close to replicas, with the technology at my disposal it would be easy to slip into it and forget to retain a looseness and expression. Not that RP or resin casting is a bad thing, I find it a hugely useful tool and it really does widen model possibilities. I think it'll take me a long time to even begin to understand where on the "Looseness - Detail" scale the best models lie. My first model, the Zhen Hua 6, was quite loose but people seemed to like it alot. I'll be interested to see how the new DD's are recieved as they are closer to the detail end. We'll have to wait and see.
Will.
