A quick note to say thanks to everyone who came to Welton today.
Numbers were not as good as we (I) would have liked but, as always there was lots of good talk and good company, and people were waiting for opening, and also were coming in near to closing time.
The show produced lots of good models - I was particularly taken with the model of HMS 'Hogue' in Victorian livery, and also the Saturn & Vostok rockets on the Mountford stall. Examples of the new 'Oriskany' model were also to be seen.
I didn't really have a chance to have a look round - I must go to one of these shows as a 'buyer' one day.
Thanks to all who came, both buyers & dealers (some of whom travelled a long way) and especially to t'other Tim (& Rebecca) for looking after the entry desk and putting a lot of the tables away.
People who went early missed the (unarranged) overflight of a replica Airco DH2 pusher biplane.
The next Welton event is on July 26th
