I have been told that decks above accomodation must be wood sheathed which solves most of the problem, but what about the other decks. Sometimes there is an indication of the bare metal deck colour, but what about when there is not. I think I remember from my youth ships docked in the town docks in Hull, many had concrete covered steel decks (early 50s)and I think that they were brown or grey. Can anyone suggest a generic colour to use on the decks when there is no currently available information. We were not allowed onto the docks where the ocean going ships docked so I never saw the deck colour. It will make a big difference to the look of a model.
