Hi All,
I am attempting to prepare two Revell Big E's (one and E and one as yorktown) to demonstrate my new CV decals at Theale. I have some of Bill's lovely aircraft to populate them, should look great!
Now I tried to get hold of some WEM colours so that I could paint E in measure 11 (Sea Blue System) and YKTN in measure 12 (Graded system.) However, WEM's products are so popular that they are out of stock at the moment, which is a bummer. So, I have to use either enamels or tamiya acrylics. Can someone give me some tips on creating a relatively accurate USN Sea Blue, Ocean grey, Haze grey and Deck Blue? I can always paint them grey and dark grey, but I'd like to get them looking nice for the show. Oh, what colour should the aircraft be? I have Hellcats and Dauntless's
