This is another of Gary Anson's 1/1200 Loft Lines kits - Harrison's "Magician" of 1969 - number 3 in the series.
If you fancy this model as an addition to your fleet, contact Gary directly:

Anyone attempting this kit will need to make all the cranes using microstrip. I've discovered that you can get this stuff, in a variety of sizes, by placing on online order with Slaters.
Slaters Microstrip
They accept cards and delivery was quick - about two days.
There's a useful colour photo of Magician on the www.photoship.co.uk website.
Does anyone recognise the location and date? Presumably early 1970s but where?
Wouldn't it be nice if some enterprising manufacturer started offering spare parts for merchant ship models? You can get any number of white metal naval spares - gun turrets, directors, AA, ships boats, carleys etc. I think it would be really useful to be able to buy ready made Gemini electric cranes, Stulken derricks, lifeboats WITH COVERS, winches, radars, capstan posts on so on. Just a thought.
Note to Sandy Feather. This Magician is for you. Get in touch.
