Hi Everyone, sorry about the website, it will be functioning again at midnight apparently! Having been a Triang collector for 30 odd years I have seen the price of the range fluctuate wildly over the years and ebay has pushed the price down over the past couple of years I think. The Flandre and Antilles are 'middling' in the rarity order I would say. Not as common as the Queens, U States and Saxonias but not as scarce as the Ports, Amazons. I would sell a mint example with masts for around the £40.00 mark and my own , purely personal view is that anything in original finish but with some chips to paint I would leave original, anything in playworn condition I would consider fair game to repaint. I would detail them up if I were you and enjoy them rather than restore to original. If you really want a good one you would find one quite easily and in my view a restored to original one wouldn't be worth any more, maybe even less, than a nicely detailed one. In any case, the chances of finding an original set of white masts is next to impossible, unless you robbed another example and then the snowball effect would go on! I do sell my own rather fine white metal replica masts though - hint hint!! Happy New Year to everyone!
