I've spent a few happy hours today at the Kettering Toy & Train Fair. Not too many ships on sale, apart from a few over-priced wargame models, but I did manage to track down a rather battered pair of Triangs - Flandre & Antilles (funnels but no masts) - the pair for £8.
Advice please. Should I try and restore to the "factory" look, or do a detailing job with better masts, painted decks etc. I have no idea as to the values of these particular models (and don't really care) but I suspect they are both quite common and therefore of little commercial value.
I have tried to see what price Martin B is asking for Triangs on his website, but he seems to have "exceeded bandwidth allowance" and the site is not accessible at present.
Oh, and a Happy New Year to you all!
John
