I have been advocating the T-bird, LTD swap on classic Galaxies for a long time. I did it on my 62 and the results were very good. Turns out, however that not all the batches of spindles are the same. These modern cars that we are using as donors for brakes had a lot more alignment adjustment. because of that ford didn't have to make all the spindles the same. Some have a lot of positive camber built in to them and some do not. At this point there is no easy fix. I have herd of people relocating the top mount on the frame, I have also herd of people having the top ball joint hole welded closed and re-drilled, others have simply sourced another set of spindles and compared the upper ball joint hole to get one with a better mounting hole location. Interestingly enough this problem seams to be more of an issue on the 63/64 cars more so than the 61/62 cars. If there is any thing I can do to help please let me know. also please keep us posted on how it turns out.
