When posting a question about your Galaxie or other Ford (all are welcome), BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to accurately answer questions.

Got the new electric fan parts for my 62 Posted by Daze on November 4, 2008, 8:13 am 69.145.221.22 Its all Grimm's fault. After all his talk about switching to an electric fan I decided I had to have one...or should I say two. When I installed the 302 in my 62, I modified the core support and installed the radiator that was in the 84 Merc that the 302 came from. The core on it is only a 2 row, but it is a 17" by 28" so I will be able to fit two 14" fans side by side. Each fan is 2200 CFM so I will have nearly 5000 CFM between the two. I also ordered a kit to have the fan come on at 180 degrees and back off at 170 degrees. I will also put in an override switch to make the fan stay on if I want.  Post a Response

It ended up going electric rather than stock because there was not a big price difference and I get a few extra ponies. My stock shroud was over a hundred bucks and I didn't even bother with the price of a fan since the electric was only about thirty bucks more. I also got the adjustable thermostat and when I get the ac hooked back up I will hook it up to a switch.  Post a Response
