I new this thing would be fantastic but I had no idea how great it would be. I reinstalled the T5 in my Mustang today. I have installed a transmission in my Mustang 6 times including todays install and one T5 install in my Galaxie making 6 manual transmission installs before today. On the previous 6 installs the actual install of the transmission was the worst part and usually took me about 6 hours of failed attempts to get it in. I am talking just the transmission. Due to weight, having to lay on the floor and all the issues of this kind of project it was always hard to get things lined up. Over the course of the installs I learned little tricks like guide studs, and T5 specific jack plate, but even with those tricks it was still a pain. Today with the Mustang up on the lift I was able to stab the T5 in on the first try. in fact I didn't even use a jack, I just picked it up and stabbed it in. it took me 5 minutes and that was only because I spent 4 minutes removing the guide studs to replace them with the actual bolts, did I mention, I LOVE MY LIFT!!!!!!
If it aint broke..... modify it anyway!!!!
