When posting a question about your Galaxie or other Ford (all are welcome), BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to accurately answer questions.

Long overdue, but here are some pics of recent progress. Some are purely there to make people groan with jealousy and hopefully chuckle a bit! ![]()

Martha, quick come and see what that clever man in SC did! He installed a door handle all by himself! ![]()

See how difficult it is to get a shot of the color of the paint?
I shot this photo to AGAIN show what a wonderfull job I did installing the rubber seal around the trunk. However, as a bonus, I think it shows the true color of the car. You wouldn't believe how many times I have tried to capture the color only to get reflections of other colors and only a faint glimmer of the midnight blue. If you really want to see the color first hand, here's a secret.
The paint code is 2008 Chrysler PBL. I know that at least one of you hard core FORD guys just fainted!!!! ![]()

Next time you see a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country minivan, check the paint code on the door. Some are PB8, but that color is a lighter blue with less metallic. PBL is darker and has more metallic.
And another.
Another.
Grill and headlight chrome went on today. It was a true "father and son" bonding event with my 18 year old helping. Awesome.
To all you guys who weld in new floor pans - I say - drool over these!!!! That's right, this is the way they looked when I bought the car. I found one pinhole behind the front seat on the DS. The rest of the floor areas have not even been cleaned yet. So, I say YIPEE for me - eat your heart out guys!!!! (I'm sorry, am I being rude? Naaahhhhhh! Just having fun.![]()

OK, well my trunk is solid too! Here is the trunk prior to cleaning and treating it.
Rust converter was a total waste of time because all it does is put an icing layer of converted rust OVER rust which will still continue to grow. I know because I saw the rust converter flake up 1 year later.
Now I have re-sanded the trunk and used POR 15. Much better and it will last too.
