I'm heating the garage up to get the car in paint! Hopefully it will be good enough. I pulled the car in last night and did the tape up, Also turned the heater on low to keep the car warm, cold metal doesn't take paint well. It is 35* this morning, so I am a bit nervous about spraying. But it looks like there won't be a better day for a long time and I need to get the color on soon or it will be spring before I can do it. I don't want to let the car set that long in just primer, it will hurt the finish. Here are some photos of the tape up, Enjoy!
You can see from the door photo the tape in the jambs to keep overspray from getting in. I did that to the deck lid and hood also. When the paint is done, I can buff the edges to remove the paint edge for a smooth transition.
Here's hoping the gold effect lays well!
