When posting a question about your Galaxie or other Ford (all are welcome), BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to accurately answer questions.

Those # are not Ford casting No#. The closest would be C7AE-9425-E. Used on the 390 4V From 11-1-66 to 9-11-67. If you have a late 66 production car it would be correct, bot if the car was produced before that date then it is not original to the car. Check the # again to see if you got them right. If it is C7TE 9425E then it is a truck motor. The casting is broken down as this C=decade(60) 7=year (67) T= Model( (truck F series) E=Engineering dept. design 9425= part (intake) E=design change. Hope this helps a bit. IF it is a 390 you will see a casting just below the drivers side head on the block that reads 352. All the FE ie 352/390/428 blocks have this cast on them. You can't tell if it is a 352 or 390 without checking the stroke.
