Well, from memory it's kinda hard, but I worked for each one(no redlights=gimmes). I lost to a Datsun coupe with a Mazda rotary engine in it. They are insanely loud and obnoxious actually. There aren't alot of them running around, but they are very popular in the "spanglish" genre. The strange thing is they usually don't run very long as they usually miss a gear or break something and it was surprising to see this one in the third round of competition.
He had a slightly better light, I got there first, hit the brakes but not enough and broke out by .012(not alot). I didn't think the car would run the number as the weather was changing(humidity coming in)and was concerned the car might not actually run the number so I tapped the brakes, but still took too much finish line and lost. That is a big thing with bracket racing, cutting a light and being able to work the finish line. You only want to take enough to win, but that's it. It would only been maybe 2" too much, but at 116 mph, what's .012 of a second equal in distance? Ya, it comes down to inches.
Dig'n in
After a long day....
You can see the moisture starting to gather on the roof of car(glistening)
