As a whole I have no problems dealing with the electrical in most cars. In fact I have gone so far as to redesign some of the systems in some of my cars to work the way I wanted them to. But even for those comfortable and good at dealing with electrical issues there is nothing more frustrating than an intermittent problem!!! About two month ago I went to start the old gal and the battery was shot. upon further investigation I discovered there was a very low drow on the battery when the car was off. It was so low that letting the car sit for several days was not enough to drain the battery. With that being said I still disconnect the battery every time I got done with the car so that I would not damage my battery. I have been doing this ever since as I have not had time to diagnose the issue to fix the problem. Yesterday I had the time and wouldn't you know it, the short is gone. With out the short showing its ugly head there is no way for me to find the issue, but problems don't fix them selves so I know it will return. That means any time I am not driving the car I still must disconnect the battery because I still cant trust that the short will not reappear and drain it.
