on the 62 convertible frame we did we sandblasted to remove scale and rust.then primed with an epoxy primer and after it dried we sprayed utech system 200 with a flattening agent to reach the satin or semi-gloss finish.remember if you wait too long between primer and paint you will need to scuff the primer to make the paint stick...jason
