When posting a question about your Galaxie or other Ford (all are welcome), BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to accurately answer questions.

I did a little looking on line and the first thing I did was compare motor mounts. In 1972 the Ford LTD offered both the 351w and the 351C and both engines use the same motor mounts. that tells me that the mounting locations for the mounts, on the block, are the same. so you should be able to get your self some 1965 Mustang motor mounts for a 289 and drop that motor right in to that 64 Galaxie. As far as the C4, I am 99% sure that you will need to modify the transmission crossmember and you will probably need to get your driveline lengthened. This sounds like a fun project!!! let us know if we can help further and please keep us posted on the progress.
