Never had loose rivets in the t/s switch, but had them faulty(broken) and since the brake lights go thru it, it will cause a loss out back. Not alot of people know that, but since there is only ONE bulb for stop/turn, it has to and it is definitely one place to check. Glad you got it figured out, as I know my '64 t/s switch is like $100 . It's a bit laxed in returning sometimes, but not worth paying that kind of money to replace it(yet).
