Just thought I'd share a problem I had this spring in case anyone else experiences this problem. After pulling my '65 Gal out of storage, I noticed I didn't have any brake lights. I tested and traced the wires all the way back to the plug-in under the dash, then (thanks to an on-line wiring diagram) up to my blinker switch of all things. The wires went up the steering column to the plastic blinker switch (after half disassembling my steering column), where the connection was riveted through the blinker actuator switch. I wasn't getting power through the rivet. I pulled out the switch, did a little cleaning, and used a punch to tighten up the rivet. That took care of the problem, but what a pain. What I thought would be a quick fix ended up taking up most of a day, but at least I was able to fix the problem. Has anyone else encountered this?
