When posting a question about your Galaxie or other Ford (all are welcome), BE SURE to tell us what it is, what year, engine, etc so we have enough information to accurately answer questions.

I just put a sending unit in the Fairlane. I put it in and hooked up the wire. Turned on the key and it read half full. Pulled it out and straightened out the rod and replaced. Turned on the key and it read 1/4. Straightened it until it would move barely move and installed it. Reads just right and when it says empty, it means empty. Only took 20 minutes and three or four trips under the car. Not too bad and you don't have to pull the dash. Hope this helps someone.
