we had parts of our 62 vert soda blasted and it turned out great.i sanded the outside of the panels and had the insides sodablasted. i would do any blasting with the engine out.as far as the primer,as long as it stays in a moisture free environment you shouldnt have any problems until you get to painting.

Phosphoric acid is also a good option It too will neutralize the soda... - Daze November 5, 2008, 7:53 pm
