Would you know how to protect yourself and your family in the event of a massive earthquake or other emergency? During the early stages of a natural disaster, you are very likely be cut off from outside support including help from the Fire Department. Attend CERT training to find out how to effectively put out a fire, learn how to conduct triage evaluations, how to treat injuries including burns, fractures, and airway obstructions, and avoid natural and technological hazards. Our Safety Committee Chair, Angela Connell, took the course and found it immensely valuable. Now we have arranged for CERT training to be delivered at a time and place convenient to our neighborhood. We are looking for 25 of our homeowners to get trained. Classes take place at Cheviot Hills Recreation Center and consist of 6 Thursday evenings, starting 10/16/08 to 11/20/08 from 7 – 10pm. Yes, it is a big time commitment, but can you really quantify the amount of time you are willing to spare to secure the safety of your loved ones? Please RSVP to Angela Connell at: angela@rhinorecruiting.com or (310) 838-9062.
