She was already awake when the sun rose and began its slow climb up into the sky. She smiled slightly at it, her body covered in flames that coiled and twisted up into the air. She had waited a long time for her body and her element to become one in a sense. She had waited a long time for her element to show. She smiled, in a good mood over what she had accomplished despite her six loss losing streak. She remembered Altair's challenge and so made her way into the Krieg as the sun continued to rise. She could feel the humidty outside her body, feeling the hot heavy air pressing in upon her. The early morning air, she knew, would be cooler but it was still hot and she wished that afterwards she could find a nice shady and cool place up in the mountains. Sadly she was stuck in Solira at the moment and besides going swimming there wasn't much to offer.
She tossed her head, dancing out deeper into the Krieg, waiting for her opponent to find her. And then he did. She felt her Fire rage higher, the flames licking the air and urging him closer so they could smother him. She smiled a slow smile, her canter easily eating up the ground with her strides. It would seem that they both had similiar ancestry, her own being full Andalusian. But nonetheless he was coming and she needed to prepare for his attack. She copied his movement with his neck but only briefly. When she saw what side he intended to go for she started to speed up her legs elongating her stride and eating up more ground. She didn't move away as he approached. She just kept speeding up her legs, making her body streamline itself through his Air. She smiled, stoking the flames on her body up just a little, just enough to make him uncomfortable in her presence.
When they passed one another it was with him slowing down to kick his haunches out and her legs speeding up so she could pass him without injury. So when his legs did find her, it was a glancing blow off the side of her ribs. She grunted at the impact, feeling the hooves as they scraped against her barrel. There was no blood, but she would bruise and it might be tender there against her ribs for a while but it wasn't anything that would hinder her too much. Turning too sharply might cause her to lose her breath and the pain would be briefly intense but she was alright despite it all. She took in a shallow breath, knowing that to put too much into it right away would be stupid, her pace slows briefly and she keeps it slow. His hooves slammed into her haunch next, hitting the heavily muscled part of it. She grunted and had to slow down into a walk however briefly to walk the pain out of her muscles. She picked up a limping trot after just a few seconds, her head turned slightly so she could see him no matter where he went.
She saw that he was coming up along her right side this time and she forced herself into a canter, still slightly limping against the pain in her side and in her haunch, but she managed to keep pace. When he was along side her she stretched her stride out, making it longer her feeble attempt to take her pace higher into a gallop. She couldn't make it, the sharp sudden pain inher side at her ribs made her lose her breath, so she slowed herself, taking another longer stride just as he was about to attack. She saw him rise and pushed herself to keep moving forwards. Since she did so, his hooves only glanced off her knee, causing sharp but mild pains through her leg. She caught herself into a limp but tried to ignore it so she could attack
She pivoted around on her left leg, taking the changes with her haunch and side to curl around to follow him as he moved off. She didn't over exert herself knowing that the heat was not on her side and already felt the pressing effects of it.
She came up along his side, allowing only a few seconds after his attack before she was there, again. This time her fire roared and raged, licking his body and she allowed it using it in her combo attack while she came up his left side and just managed a half rear to aim at the same place that he had, his elbow. She put as much force into it as she could, their bodies almost bumping against one another. Her fire licked at his body and she could have almost smiled at the pleasure of feeling his Air shriek at her assault.
She grunted with the landing, pain shooting up her left side and her right leg. She winced and immediately rose again seconds after her first attack to attack a second time. She couldn't aim for his front knee this time and her haunch was throbbing with pain, making her inable to rear fully so she aimed at the back left leg this time. She couldn't really focus and so she aimed her legs at the knee again. When she landed, she didn't move but waited and allowed the pain to run through her system.
