wait a second... You, of all people who are whining and yelling about "ridden horse" vs "wild horse" suddenly want to say your horse is doing a great big giant loop like a show jumper/hunter? I'm sorry but in my world that great big giant loop is definitely not a rollback and definitely isn't a natural movement. Horses back up, pivot, and take off at liberty all the time. Have you ever seen horses fight? There's definitely no scurrying away to loop around and come on back to their opponent which is why when you said rollback, I immediately thought ROLLBACK as in the examples I showed you.
Now. Ridden or unridden the trot really is the most balanced and most supple. At liberty the horse really is more likely to trot then canter and I'm talking horses fresh off the range that you chuck out. Even horses hot and nutty that you turn out will often trot off or perhaps charge off then break into a trot to do their rounds. It's horses as a whole, not horses under saddle. Also, adding a rider sitting over their proposed center of gravity is only going to make it HARDER for them to balance, period end of story. A gait is a gait regardless of the animal's origin. It's a gait. You cannot change the fact that it's a diagonal gait and movement versus a latteral type movement (IE: leads) and therefore can't really argue balance between the two.
And yes I have seen herds of wild horses, mustangs, ferals and horses in a herd on large grass turn out acting like... well... horses. It's rare as a whole to see them take off unless the flight response is kicked in. And somehow I highly doubt rather then conserve energy and trot that they'd blow up and full blown canter down a hill. Up a hill depending upon the grade. But you were neither going up or down a hill.
And the OOC: (though Artaxxas briefly wondered how the mare would be able to do something like that with an injured front and nearly-decimated side)
That's what irked me. I'm sorry about that too.
She did shy and you're right about that and I did dock her -1 on both times she shied. so she NEVER received a 5/5 for those defenses.
In fact to be honest CLOCK got docked a 1/5 and a 2/5 for realism and power and whatnot. So no I really wasn't gunning hard for you.
So the standing total is 45/46 Clock's favor.
It makes no difference since Clock is listed as a spy and not a warrior I don't believe, so this battle can't even really be counted towards totals for Gold I don't think.
I apologize Spooky, but it really is all about interpretation. Especially about the rollback.
