ARTAXXAS
Attack 1REALISM: 3/5 -1 Why would you half rear to attack a joint that's literally inches from the ground? -1 Solid ground is only going to hurt you more, it's like cantering on pavement. you can easily trip up and it's very unforgiving. POWER: 1/5 Only because this particular region would be next to impossible to hit and you really only have a 2% chance of hitting it at all, and a 0% chance of stepping on it as horses are VERY prone to snapping their feet away if you touch anywhere near this region. it's how people train halter horses to move their feet, by taping the toe of their boot on this particular region and immediately even an untrained horse reacts to jerk it away at the slightest touch. Plus the second point was deducted only because this bone supports most of the horse's weight and regardless isn't going to be prone to breaking regardless of the hit. Even see a show jumper smack his ankles/top of hooves into a rail? That's potentially a few thousand pounds of force slamming into that rail and yes the rail moves, but when you hit it, it's stationary. BUT it would be laming to say the very least so you gained a point, even if you missed and ripped open the coronet or hit the ankle... It would HURT and hurt for awhile at that! TIMING: 4/5 Honestly half rearing gives your opponent time to get the heck out of the way. Cantering or galloping headlong at them is definitely going to get their flight drive up and make a horse of any sort go "WTFOMGBBQ!" when they see a flaming fire pony charging at them even if they are social creatures. CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 ARTAXXAS
Attack 2REALISM: 4/5 -1 Coming all the way around to attack from the front again is to your disadvantage since your opponent is going to be even more leery of you. POWER: 4/5 You say you kick out directly at the rib cage, then say you're aiming to permanently brand Clock's flank? I'm confused. Depending upon where this hits it will most DEFINITELY hurt, but keep in mind your horses at this age (2 according to the page) is very young and immature. I doubt the full power behind their attack will be at it's greatest potential compared to a fuller bodies older animal that's completely mature. TIMING: 5/5 Please keep in mind a roll-back is anything but a slow, long movement. A rollback is almost like a pivot where the animal backs up and turns quickly around. Watch some cutting horses and reining horses, western horses in particular do this quite often. CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 CLOCK
Defense 1REALISM: 5/5 DAMAGE: 4/5 -1 Why does she open up things on your leg? A horse's leg is very much underneath the chest and scapula (shoulder) and VERY hard to injure. She collides with your shoulder. In all reality that should have been it. TIMING: 5/5 CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 CLOCK
Defense 2REALISM: 2/5 -1 Trotting/jogging on a torn open and injured leg probably isn't the brightest idea, but I guess in the cold with some form of adrenaline in a danger situation a flight animal would resort to it but it's not advisable. -1 I can't see a horse moving into a blow at any cost. -1 And happily accepting a blow to this region of the body is ludicrous. Your kidneys and other organs as well as intestines are all right there and prone to possible rupture if hit hard enough. the swelling there will keep you from moving for awhile as well. DAMAGE: 3/5 -1 you really do need to realize that skin isn't going to gush blood unless it's a deep deep laceration which quite honestly hooves are not going to deliver -1 How does this effect you? You say it was "tempered" but remember this is a VITAL area! TIMING: 5/5 CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 CLOCK
Attack 1REALISM: 1/5 -1 You're rearing with an injured barrel/hip groove region and injured foreleg/shoulder. Not bright. -1 How are you hitting her chest? Did you really come around to face her? She's half as injured as you are and she's already attacked from the front twice. I doubt she's going to let you. -1 Powerplaying. Do not EVER say you have most definitely hit anyone at any time. That is considered powerplaying. How do you know you DEFINITELY hit her there? What if the aliens abducted her? What if she poofed into thin air? Anything can happen. -1 Additional attack. A slam + a kick = 2 attacks. POWER: 4/5 Given your injuries this can't be very powerful as it's going to hurt you as well. TIMING: 5/5 CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 CLOCK
Attack 2REALISM: 3/5 -1 Again I just can't see A.) Artaxxas allowing you to come from the front, B.) a horse resting all of their weight on or rearing (however small a rear) with an injured fore. -1 Again additional attack. You slam, then kick. You are not a bronze, therefore cannot use Combo and you've done this twice. POWER: 4/5 Given the fact you're injured, I cannot see this being very powerful as it normally would have been. TIMING: 4/5 Artaxxas should have ample time to get away. CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 ARTAXXAS
Defense 1REALISM: 4/5 -1 Shying on this ground may not be the brightest of ideas as it would be hard to get purchase beneath it without jaring your own legs unless you somehow melted the frozen ground beneath you which I see no mention made about. DAMAGE: 3/5 -1 You really should take more damage. How does this effect you beyond just opening a small raw wound and a limp you canter through? -1 Why on earth would you canter? Contrary to your belief the canter is not the easiest to hold which is exactly why endurance riders ride at a trot over long distances over thick and thin instead of a canter because a canter tires muscles far easier. Which is why we lunge horses down at a canter and not strictly a trot. It takes longer to build a sweat at a trot as well and consistent trotting BUILDS muscles which is why it's recommended to people bringing horses back from muscle degenerating diseases and injuries such as EPM. TIMING: 5/5 CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 ARTAXXAS
Defense 2REALISM: 4/5 -1 I can't see a horse using injured limb to shy, nor is it very effective in any case. DAMAGE: 4/5 -1 You mention the leg is nearly skewered and you're knocked off balance but never really touch on the depth of the injury? What ripped? What tore? HOW did you gather your balance back? These are all questions to consider other then just howling in pain. TIMING: 5/5 CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 ARTAXXAS
Subtotal: 46/60Elemental Score: 1 You mention your fire a lot. Bonus Points: 0 Penalties: -3 -1) You need to learn to take damage better. -1) You are not a super horse, your attacks are not perfect or unavoidable, but you make it seem like they are and that the other horse's attacks are so easily avoided. That's just bad form. -1) Please try not to bring OOC into your attacks. The judges WILL see what's wrong. FINAL SCORE: 44/60 CLOCK
Subtotal: 45/60Elemental Score: 0 Bonus Points: 1 for having a very nifty writing style. I found it entertaining to read. Penalties: -0 FINAL SCORE: 46/60 By my judgment, CLOCK is the winner! Please keep in mind that powerplaying is a thin red line. Please also feel free to move the -2 or so points I took off for multiple attacks and powerplaying down into the penalty place if needed be. Clock is the winner, please negotiate captives if needed be. And Clock; PLEASE be more careful about powerplaying in the future or someone may not be as nice as I am.
