This was the part Zakr lived for.
He circled to the left, coming around in a wide circle so he avoided straining his injured foreleg as much as possible. The knee joint didn't really seem to be working properly, which Zakr lamented, however he knew that he could still give Alcatraz a mighty punishment for the burns on his legs.
Zakr did not dance around; once again he used Chrome, this time to cover all four of his hooves in the hardest, sharpest of black steel. It added only a small amount of weight to his legs, because the metal coating was thin; as Zakr cantered forwards he approached Alcatraz on the lightning warrior's left side, at an acute angle to the shoulder. Zakr, nonchalant as always, reared upwards once he was within distance of Alcatraz and struck out at his opponent's left foreleg with his right foreleg, the uninjured one. Let's not forget that Zakr's Chrome hoof was virtually a knife, cleaving at his adversary's leg from the knee joint down as he landed with a grunt, his left foreleg aching in protest. Alcatraz would have few options; if he pivoted to his right, he would only be extending the leg that Zakr was aiming to attack, actually turning the situation in the earth warrior's favor. If Alcatraz pivoted to his left, Zakr still had a plain view of the leg, there would just be the annoyance of Alcatraz's head to deal with (and believe me when I say that my metal-warrior would come at Alcatraz like a freight train, with no intention of stopping should something as annoying as a head arise in his path).
Combo was a lovely thing, Zakr thought casually as the metal receded from his hooves and he pressed forward to rise again. His attacks were fluid, with barely a pause in between; one moment, he was (supposedly) carving down Alcatraz's leg, and the next he had moved forward to follow the lightning warrior and rising again to complete an identical attack, but unfortunately without the help of Chrome. (No matter, Zakr thought - he had won battles before without the super.) By now, if his attacks had gone according to plan, Alcatraz's left foreleg would be a mangled mess of blood and broken bones that would drag along by the Savage's side like a dead puppy. Zakr nearly grinned at the thought.
And he still had one attack left.
Zakr pivoted to the left, his foreleg again afire with pain and causing him to slip before righting himself and pressing on. He didn't know where Alcatraz was going to go, but he knew that if any part of his attacks had struck home the lightning warrior wouldn't be going there fast. Zakr didn't move with the speed of an air horse - or even with the speed of an earth horse, thanks to his injuries - but he didn't have to move far before he unleashed a cow kick in Alcatraz's direction, aiming for the same foreleg he had just attempted to cripple. One way or the other, Zakr thought resolutely, he was going to give Alcatraz a goddamn limp to match his own.
