BRISINGR
Attack 1REALISM: 4/5 -1 You never want to give yourself damage before your opponent attacks you! It's perfectly fine - even required - to say that she slipped, but a horse is very capable of righting themselves without pulling any muscles, and you want to avoid this if at all possible. POWER: 4/5 This is a powerful attack, but try to work on your description of it. Make me really believe that it's an attack Ulaume can't come back from. Make me cringe. TIMING: 5/5 Perfectly fine. CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 BRISINGR
Attack 2REALISM: 3/5 -1 Trotting = more likely to slip but I'm not taking a point off for that. This attack doesn't seem that realistic, in that Brisingr is parallel to Ulaume but attacking her barrel. Try to imagine the angle required to do any damage at all; she would have to be closer to perpendicular to get the right leverage and do anything other than scrape Ulaume's side. -1 Also, be more descriptive. Tell me if Brisingr is rearing, and if so how high. Don't assume that the judges - or your opponent - will understand what you are doing by simply stating the area of attack. POWER: 3/5 There is no way this would break or even crack her ribs. Not at this angle. TIMING: 5/5 Just fine. CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 ULAUME
Defense 1REALISM: 5/5 DAMAGE: 5/5 TIMING: 4/5 Ulaume was able to get a little too far away from Brisingr by the time she attacked. Timing was really tight here. CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 ULAUME
Defense 2REALISM: 5/5 DAMAGE: 5/5 TIMING: 5/5 CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 ULAUME
Attack 1REALISM: 3/5 -1 Ulaume attacked with her injured side - her foreleg uses the muscles that were injured in Brisingr's attack. -1 There is pretty much no instance in which a horse's blunt teeth could snag another horse's throat and sever the jugular, or any other vein. Much of what you say Ulaume can do with her teeth, she cannot, especially since grabbing on to any part of Brisingr is very unlikely when you're both cantering. POWER: 3/5 Because of her injury and the ineffectualness of biting, this attack isn't all that powerful. TIMING: 5/5 Perfectly fine. CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 ULAUME
Attack 2REALISM: 4/5 -1 During a buck, ALL of Ulaume's weight is on her forelegs. On her injury. This will DEFINITELY exacerbate muscle damage and make the injury worse. POWER: 4/5 Because of the fact that Ulaume is injured and could not fully extend her buck if she tried AND the pain would cause her to make the buck quick and sloppy, I cannot give this full power points. TIMING: 5/5 CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 BRISINGR
Defense 1REALISM: 4/5 -1 Be more specific about where Ulaume hit, and how hard. DAMAGE: 5/5 TIMING: 5/5 CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 BRISINGR
Defense 2REALISM: 5/5 DAMAGE: 5/5 TIMING: 5/5 CREATIVITY BONUS: +0 BRISINGR
Subtotal: 53/60Elemental Score: 0 Bonus Points: 0 Penalties: -0 FINAL SCORE: 53/60 ULAUME
Subtotal: 53/60Elemental Score: 0 Bonus Points: 0 Penalties: -2 You attacked TWICE out of turn. This is just playing dirty to me - it messes up Brisingr's second attack and she has no way of remedying it. FINAL SCORE: 51/60 By my judgment, BRISINGR is the winner!
